Kail, Bartolotta Deliver Major Investment to Hanover Township, Beaver County

HARRISBURG – Rep. Joshua D. Kail (R-15) and Sen. Camera Bartolotta (R-46) announced they helped secure $698,631 in state funding from the Local Share Account (LSA) Program to improve the baseball and softball fields and playground in Hanover Township, Beaver County, which are operated by South Side Athletic Organization. 

According to Kail and Bartolotta, the project includes installing nine 50-foot, steel light poles, building concrete pole bases, placing underground conduit running to all pole locations, completing all wire pulls and electrical connections to the power system, and supplying and installing energy-efficient LED lighting fixtures and control systems. The addition of a lighting system will expand access to youth baseball and softball programs, as well as increase opportunities for tournaments, league play and community events.

“I am proud to help deliver funding that directly supports families and young athletes in Hanover Township,” said Kail. “The improvements will create a safer, better-equipped space for kids to learn, compete and grow, and they will strengthen the community for years to come. I am grateful to collaborate with Sen. Bartolotta and local leaders to advocate in support of this vision.”

The grants were approved and awarded by the Commonwealth Financing Authority, which was established as an independent agency that holds fiduciary responsibility over the funding of programs and investments in Pennsylvania’s economic growth. LSA grants are derived from gaming revenues.
