HARRISBURG – Beaver Borough resident Rep. Joshua Kail (R-Beaver/Washington) was sworn into office Tuesday at the state Capitol as state representative to the 15th Legislative District.

“To have been given the opportunity to work for the residents of the 15th District in this capacity is truly an honor,” said Kail. “I take this new responsibility very seriously, and I am going to work hard to make sure that their voice is heard in Harrisburg.”

Kail steps into his role as state representative with the goals of protecting taxpayers, reforming Harrisburg, defending constitutional liberties and bringing family-sustaining jobs to the 15th Legislative District.

“In terms of economic development and jobs, these are exciting times for the 15th District,” Kail said. “I want to make sure Harrisburg doesn’t do anything to hinder the growth we are experiencing, and instead, remains focused on policies that will bring about additional opportunities for our families.”

Kail added that one of his first priorities in the 15th District is to gather feedback from constituents and to learn more about their legislative priorities and stances on key issues.

“I want to make sure I am able to make decisions based on the needs of our communities,” he said. “I am committed to being the most responsive and effective lawmaker I can be and that can only be achieved by listening.”

Kail was elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in November 2018 to replace retiring Rep. Jim Christiana, who represented the district since 2008.

To follow legislative activities both in Harrisburg and in the 15th District or to provide feedback on key issues, residents are encouraged to visit Kail’s website, RepKail.com, where they can also sign up for e-mail updates. In addition, residents can connect with him on Facebook at Facebook.com/RepKail.

The House returns to a new voting session on Tuesday, Jan. 15.
