HARRISBURG – Recognizing that Pennsylvania has a deep and rich history steeped in business and industry, and acknowledging the significant hardships that local businesses have faced during the COVID-19 pandemic, Reps. Tom Wolf and asking him to issue an executive order to use potential assets of the former Ellwood City Hospital due to the coronavirus crisis. The facility closed its emergency department in December 2019 for numerous safety violations. Months later, the parent company shut down the entire hospital and filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
